“Poor value hotel”

I stayed at this hotel a few years ago and found it very poor, this is unfortunately typical of a large number of Italian hotels which need badly renovation and up-dating ... it would have been fine in the sixties .... but NOT now.
The room was ridiculously small, the bed - single - was very narrow and uncomfortable, the lighting of the room was sinister,
the bathroom very outdated, with a small shower and it was rather smelly ...
The buffet breakfast was very simple and uninteresting
The staff was very inefficient and I do speak fluent Italian ...
thet were conducting in the lobby a "satisfaction inquiry" and the reply was invariably, I will not return and I do not bother therefore to answer ...
HOTEL TO FORGET, THE ONLY POSITIVE ASPECT IS THE LOCATION WHICH IS CONVENIENT

I am very sorry about this, but I have to inform you that Carlton Hotel was renewed completely in its lobby and in all the 58 rooms, with wi-fi connection, sommiers and new furnishings, carpet and every comfort.

Gentili signori,
vi ringrazio per il vostro contributo.
Desideravo solamente precisare che l'hotel è stato rinnovato in tutte le sue 58 camere nel 2007.
Stiamo ora procedendo con la ristrutturazione di tutti i bagni e, nel corso del 2013, saremo impegnati in un ampliamento degli spazi adibiti alla prima colazione.

Ciò però non toglie che ciascuno di noi abbia gusti e preferenze d'arredo differenti e soggettivi.
La pulizia è da sempre uno dei nostri punti cardine, supportato peraltro da tante testimonianze, pubblicate tra gli altri, anche su questo sito. Non ci sottrarremo comunque ad un maggiore impegno e accuratezza nel nostro servizio.

Carissimi trentenni,
sono molto dispiaciuto per il vostro giudizio così negativo su tutto!
Mi scuso se ci avete trovati caotici e impegnati a fare il nostro mestiere, in giornate un po' affollate, come quelle del ponte del primo maggio.
Per quanto riguarda il bagno, stiamo ristrutturando integralmente tutti i 58 bagni dell'hotel (già 2 piani sono stati ultimati e sono del tutto al dì sopra della norma e adattissimi anche a persone senza pretese).

Il nostro desiderio e quello di Wonderbox era di lasciarvi incantati...

Credo che l'assoluta bellezza di Ferrara non possa non avervi incantato; spiace sicuramente di non aver contribuito anche noi a tale scopo.
