We arrived at this hotel to be told that we were being 'upgraded' to a hotel situated 100 meters along the road. All I can say is, if the hotel we were 'upgraded' to was supposed to be better than our original booked hotel then I'm really glad we didn't stay in our first choice. We were 'upgraded' (sorry I've got to laugh) to the Hotel de La Ville nearby. We were told that the only rooms they had left were one with 2 single beds or another that was for disabled people....we chose the disabled one. To be fair it was OK. The bed was comfortable and the walk in shower was...well...novel. This is where the good points end. We were told that breakfast (included) was served between 7.30 and 10 am. We arrived at 9 am. The fruit salad bowl was empty and was told it had 'finished'. There were no cups or saucers, no hot water for tea/coffee, no toast, no butter, no fruit. If you wanted cocopops or a croissant you were in luck if you were nimble on your feet. The much harrassed lone waitress only new 4 english words...'no', 'all gone' and 'finished'. My sister arrived at breakfast at 9.20 and there greeted by the waitress with those four words. The Italian manager who she complained to was arrogant, rude and had no right to be in the job that he held. Do yourself a favour and go elswhere.
