“HEAVEN!”

Hotel Vittoria was without a doubt the highlight of our trip to Italy. We traveled a bit around Italy and stayed in various hotels and not one hotel came even close to what you find at Hotel Vittoria - Brescia. The staff was always smiling and very helpful (which was not the case in other hotels). Check-in went smooth and fast. The rooms are absolutely beautiful. I really cant find one bad thing to say. The old building itself gives the whole place a very grand and elegant feel. The hotel is in a good location and the whole family loved the breakfast buffet. We hope to return next year. All in all a great hotel full of charm.

“All These Superlatives Are TRUE!!”

Room 314 for 5 nights in December. First visit. The combination of hotel strengths plus unbelievably singular advantage of location make this a great travel experience. I was here on business but spent two days walking and doing shopping and sightseeing, including walking up to the castle and the Roman excavations. Great food choices nearby. On weekends there are local open/flea markets with antiques, textiles, and produce held in the common areas immediately surrounding the hotel. The restaurant is wonderful but wish it was open every night. Bed was comfortable and room had the best views of the New Duomo illuminated at night. They are upgrading the elevator next year. If I get another chance to return, I will bring my wife who will have plenty to do, too! A real taste of Italy!!

“A surprise in a surprising city”

We chose to stay in Brescia as it was close to the Franciacorta wine region and pretty much in the middle of two lakes - Lago Iseo and Lago Garda. We knew nothing of the town other than it's location and found this hotel quite well rated. Upon check-in we were immediately dissapointed as there was no bell hop for our bags but the receptionist assured us she would take care of them. She did and brought them to our room. Our room at first glance was a bit sparten but was clean and spacious. From here everything went up hill. The room was indeed well appointed and the bathroom clearly recently renovated and upgraded (althought the shower was a bit on the small side). The sitting area was spacious and included a full size desk with free wifi internet. We did not eat in the hotel other than breakfast so cannot comment on the dining but the breakfast was varied and delicious - a typical cold Italian breakfast but the staff are more than happy to prepare eggs any way you like (the Omelettes are great). What made the stay exceptional was the staff - all of them were helpful, courteous and friendly - especially the staff in the bar/breakfast area. Brescia itself was a very pleasant surprise and all the old historic sites and key shopping are within minutes walking distance from the hotel - perfectly located.

Room Tip: Get a suite.

“Elegant stay in Brescia”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 December 2011

We stayed at this hotel for one night as part of our three week train tour of Italy using our own itinerary - we had come from Verona and were on our way to Turin. This hotel was very grand and elegant. The receptionist was very welcoming and helpful. Our room was beautifully furnished - it was stylish, elegant and comfortable. The public areas of the hotel were wonderful as well and all on a very grand scale - it was an enormous building. One thing however was that early in the evening before dinner we could clearly hear the people in the next room - however I think they were very noisy people because it was all much quieter after I said something to them. Brescia is a very interesting place and we had a great time and really liked this hotel. The Duomo Vecchio or La Rotonda as it is also known was very unusual and fascinating. This hotel is very centrally located - just walk out the door and everything is within easy reach but the train station is a short taxi ride away.

“Nice hotel, old charms, perfect location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 November 2011

We spent 5 days in Hotel Vittoria with my wife and two daughters and we were absolutely content by the hotel's friendly staff, spacious rooms and nice buffet breakfast. The hotel is strategically located in an historical building right in the center of Brescia, where everything (i.e. market, museums, restaurants) is just a stroll away, yet the hotel is really quiet. We'll definitely choose again Hotel Vittoria to accommodate us on our next visit to Brescia!
