“friendly, Constable and so relaxing...”

Hello,
We stated at Rajapruek Samui Resort between the 2th and the 15th January 2012. It was wonderful! If you’re seeking peace and quiet.. That is definitely the place for you!

I stay in a normal room, it was very big and comfortable. My parents stayed at “Sunset” beach front villa, beautiful room with huge glass walls facing the sea with an amazing deck and all that underneath a beautiful Thai tree.. This room is obviously much more expensive but it just worth it (see pics).

Our rooms were cleaned everyday, the girls at the reception were very friendly and eager to help, they have organized for us all our day trips - which I highly recommend on doing.. Since we were there for two weeks, We found a great balance between one day of activities and the next just to relax on the beach and catch up with our sleep..

The included breakfast was very nice, combination of Thai cuisines and Western popular normal breakfast.. However, we found the restaurant (not including the breakfast service) to be dull.. After a few meals at the hotel restaurant We decided to look for other places to dine in - and there are quite a few.. ( I highly recommend the restaurant in “The Lipa” resort, 5 min walk).

I will definitely come back to Rajapruek

Room Tip: "sunset" beachfront.. it worth the money !

“PEACE AND QUIET”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

First a correction should be made as to the location of the hotel. Rajapruek IS NOT located in Lamai Beach. It is on the other side of the island in Lipa Noi Beach.
This time we wanted to find something away from it all. Away from pushy and noisy hotel animators who, in all languages of the world, can ask you “where’re you from?”. Away from the groups of the Japanese tourists with cameras, taking pictures of everything, from a pissing dog to a hole in the wall. Away from Germans who get up at 6AM to reserve every lounge and chair by the pool and the beach. Away from the screaming kids jumping into the pool or throwing sand in your face. Away from the noisy Russians heavily under the influence of hard liquor. Away from the British and Irish who occupy every Shamrock, Guinness and Irish pub loudly enjoying their football games., Away from the everpresent Dutch who are EVERYWHERE from Albania to Zanzibar who, with their harsh throat-clearing language, can be understood only by some Belgians and, maybe, by the aliens from Mars. I often wander who is left in their small country ? [the Russians are fast taking over that domination]. [ Hope nobody reading this will feel offended as it’s written for those with sufficient level of intelligence and a sense of humor, not for those who are unsecure and easily offended].
We wanted to be AWAY, and we found it. A quaint and remote piece of heaven, a place on the west coast of the island. At first the hotel may seem a bit rundown, but with time, you get used to it. Even the rusty and beat up gym equipment standing right by the entrance, which should have been thrown away long time ago, will not bother you that much. BUT, There is one thing that deserves a special mention : Judy at the reception is so accommodating that she definitely deserves a special mention and a special award .
Will come back here for sure if the time permits. [hope the wi-fi is free there by then as it’s a bit tacky to charge for it at this day and age]

“Great value, but could use a screen for the shower!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2012

Loved this resort! We stayed for 1 night ($40) and can only complain about the bathrrom shower. There was no screen or curtain so the water went everywhere (toilet seat, etc). But other than that, the reception staff were very kind and accomodating, check in took about 3 minutes, and the food at the hotel restaurant was great. The beach is right on the resort and really looks like a piece of paradise. The beds were very comfortable and not too firm. There were net doors behind a set of glass doors, however there was no view from our room at all. But the net door added a nice touch when it was raining so we didn't have to worry about bugs getting into our room. All in all, I would come back for sure. One word of advice, cabs are expensive, we paid 300 thb for a 7 minute drive to Nathon Pier!

“Secluded heaven in a hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 October 2011

My boyfriend & i stayed for 9 nights in September 2011, booked after reading great reviews & now we know why! Upon check in we were immediately upgraded to a room with pool view.

Set away from the busy tourist areas of Lamai & Chaweng, this is the spot for pure relaxation. Everywhere is accesible with a scooter or car hire which the hotel help to arrange at going rates. It features its own private beach which is small but just perfect.. Staff clean debris swept up from the night before every morning.

Our room overlooked the main pool & was spacious and clean.. The bed was probably the most comfy we've ever experienced in a hotel! Patio doors had a mosquito mesh so i wasn't bitten once (a rarity anywhere i go as mossies seem to love my blood) and the air con was wonderful & quiet. Housekeeping everyday with clean towels and bedding and cleaning was always thorough to my delight!

We only ate once at the restaurant but food was adequate if not a tad expensive. Buffet breakfast we enjoyed & was plentiful.

Staff are amazing people, from the groundsman to the waiting girls.. Always smiling & will do everything to make sure you're happy & have everything you need. We felt really at home because of this.

Only downfall is probably having to pay for wifi access, but having said this, this didn't bother us as its fairly priced @ £3 per day & connection was normally fine.

For the price we paid, this hotel is fantastic value for money & we'd recommend it in a heartbeat.

Thank you to Rajapruek for an amazing time!!! :)

“Paradise in lonely beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 September 2011

We stayed here 7 days in February 2010 in front bech bungalow. The sea was clean and calm while in Chaweng was stormy this time. Traditional thai hospitality from Oi and Chu, cleanless, tasty breakfast, shezlongues on the beach, 2 beatiful pools - everything was exellent. That is why we recommend it everyone who expect luxury vacation for little money( only 100 $ for night). But Rajapruek has only 3 such luxury front beach bungalows in one step from the waves- you must book in advance.
