“Try this hotel first”

Lovely hotel. Excellent location for shops, sea front, bars, restaurants, trains and buses, but not so close that you can hear them. We had a lovely week there and thought it was excellent value for money. Owners put themselves out for you if there's something extra you want. Guest lounge with TV and numerous books is welcome if you don't want to stay in your room. Great breakfast but no evening meals (not an issue with variety of other places to eat).
Best evening meal of the week was at the 'Village Inn' in Shanklin Old Village.

“Very welcoming, friendly and helpful staff, excellent food”

On a recent 50th birthday celebration to the I.O.W we stayed in a family room at the Kenbury. We received a warm welcome from the owners, Sue & Adrian. The room was tastefully decorated, spacious and clean with extra finishing touches such as "Gilchrist & Soames" toiletries, mini fridge replenished with bottled water each day and a jug of fresh milk provided on arrival/daily for that much needed cup of tea! The adjoining room occupied by my teenage daughter also had it's own TV which was well received. Breakfast excellent and plentiful, with full menu to suit all tastes. A cosy and very reasonably priced bar for that all important nightcap.Staff very helpful and accommodating, arranging taxi's and advising on places to eat out in the evenings. A quiet location with only a 15mins walk to the esplanade in Shanklin. I would certainly recommend the Kenbury.

“Fantastic”

What a hotel! The staff were lovely and friendly. The rooms clean and well equipped. We even had a mini fridge in our room which contained bottles of water. Plenty of tea, coffee and hot chocolate together with bisuits. When we entered the room we found the towels together with miniture toiletries all laid out beautifully on the bed. Our boys had an adjoining room with their own TV! Breakfast was wonderful and we came down the first morning to find that they had seated our extended family at the same table which was a lovely touch! Our boys thoroughly enjoyed playing pool and table football every night in the bar while we sat and had a relaxing drink or two before bed.

Would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone.

“Very friendly”

Had a brilliant time at the Kenbury last summer; those who have looked into a holiday on the Isle of Wight won't need telling how beautiful and relaxing the island as a whole is, so I'll just be specific to this hotel! Staff were very friendly and a mine of useful information about the surrounding area. Breakfast was freshly prepared to order so no soggy or cold food left on hot plates for hours. Very accommodating when we left our luggage there and bathroom was left spotless every day. On the whole left in peace and privacy except when we needed something. Very well maintained hotel with hot powerful shower, certainly in our room. The garden at the front of the hotel was a nice touch and very sheltered, not overlooked at all. Although we travelled by train, and the hotel was just minutes from the station, there was ample parking to the front of the hotel. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, very good value for the quality and location.
