“Great experience at the Kenbury, would recommend”

My good experience started when I called to book a room for me and my husband. Sue was lovely, helpful and flexible. When we arrived the room was great, with modern and recent decoration with lovely fluffy towels and all the mod cons you expect. The breakfast in the morning was excellent with fantastic local sausages. The customer service extended to the morning waitress who was very good. The folks that run this establishment clearly enjoy what they do and care about their customers experience which really shows.
The only reason I didn't mark it excellent was because of the early morning plumbing noises in our room as everyone started to use the bathrooms. Common in many hotels/B&B's but I live in hope that one day someone will work out a way to stop it happening and waking me up before I am ready!

“Wonderful stay”

What is there not to like about this hotel?

We were shown to our room by the owner who noticed a small problem with the lock on our room door. Within an hour, it was sorted.

The room was bright, airy, comfortable, spotlessly clean and had all you could need - free wifi, a mini fridge, and a small adjoining room for my daughter which she loved.

The breakfasts were second to none, freshly cooked and wonderful - toast came out piping hot and there was a good selection of cereals on the buffet table. Special mention must go to the young lady who served breakfast every day, who was extremely polite and courteous and couldn't do enough for us.

With just a 10 minute walk to the beach (especially if you use the nearby cliff lift!) this really is a wonderful hotel - we'll be back!!

“friendly helpful owners, rooms very clean and comfortable breakfast 1st class”

Greeted and shown to our room (room 9)by Sue who was so friendly and made us feel very welcome on arrival.
rooms were spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable nice clean ensuite with good shower.
Room had tea/coffee making facilites with some lovely biscuits room had nice little touchs like the towels folded so they looked like shells.
breakfast was fantastic there was cereal, crossaints, yoghut etc as a buffet and then you had a cooked breakfast menu which you could pick and choose from which was fantastic especally the sausages, the young ladies serving were so polite and very attentive refilling tea and coffee and making sure everything was just right. in fact for me the stand out feature of the hotel was the quality of the service from the owners and staff made to feel very comfortable.
location was good just down the road from shanklin station and bus stop about 300 yards. sea is about 10 mins up the road.
i feel shanklin is much nicer than sandown and has nicer pubs and eating establishments.
all in all 1st class hotel would definatly stay again and would highly recomend.

“Try this hotel first”

Lovely hotel. Excellent location for shops, sea front, bars, restaurants, trains and buses, but not so close that you can hear them. We had a lovely week there and thought it was excellent value for money. Owners put themselves out for you if there's something extra you want. Guest lounge with TV and numerous books is welcome if you don't want to stay in your room. Great breakfast but no evening meals (not an issue with variety of other places to eat).
Best evening meal of the week was at the 'Village Inn' in Shanklin Old Village.
