Stayed here in December 2011- unfortunately only for one night!
Told Victoria in advance that I was coeliac and not only did she have fresh gluten-free bread available for breakfast but she also sourced and cooked gluten-free sausages which were delicious. She even put gf biscuits in the bedroom to have with my coffee. The room was extremely comfortable and I would love to go back in the summer and sample the view. Highly recommend
Booked a twin and a single room for two nights in late November - just as the snow hit.
Had a fantastic stay - We all agreed it was probably the most comfortable bed any of us have ever slept in! - all crisp clean thick white sheets and blankets - lovely.
The rooms were great - the house was great! Like something out of World Of Interiors magazine. Bit of a Georgian architectural gem. Not corporate at all - you'd never get this attention to detail in an hotel.
Fantastic complimentaries - teas/coffee bathroom stuff. Breakfast was just great you could have what ever you wanted cooked and the fresh fruit compotes, yogurts - local apple bread/cake thing just devine.
Victoria Brann is a star! Great cook, welcoming and was really helpful in directing us to where we needed to get to safely with the arrival of the snow.
It was a really fantastic place and we would all recomend it for whatever reason your going to this part of the world.
We were visiting family in Newtownards and took a trip upthe coast road to the Giants Causeway and on the other day we drove around Stranford Lough
It's all on one level which was helpful as we were with someone on a stick.
We booked all three rooms for two nights and had a great weekend. The bedrooms are gorgeous, very well appointed and beautifully decorated with really comfortable beds. Breakfast was delicious with excellent locally sourced food, full of flavour. Views from the house are stunning and the house itself is lovely. We were made very welcome, not to say cossetted.
