I bo oked the queens to give my wife a surprise birthday treat for the weekend.
We have stayed at the Queens many times over the years so we knew what to expect.
The special offer of £29 per person per night included breakfast,5 course dinner and entertainment.
The recent reviews said it all as for quality and value you will not find better.

stayed at the queens hotel again,but this time for for 5 days over the xmas,must say had another fantastic stay,nothing was to much trouble for any of the staff,and the restaraunt staff were excellent and must say they all worked extremely hard,to much food was served being 3 cooked meals a day as well as tea,coffee and biscuits in between,could have skipped lunch and give staff lunch time break,but must say choice to eat was ours,would recommend this hotel to freinds and family

If there was anything negative about this hotel I would write it but there isn't!!! Took my aged parents here for the Christmas Eve 4 night break, - fantastic welcome, immaculate rooms, highest quality food, silver service waiters, beautiful decorations, attentive polite staff at all times, excellent entertainment(magicians, comedians and singers) - I wanted to spend some quality time with my Mum as she is developing dementia and this fitted the bill perfectly. 5 minutes walk depending on your fitness to the shops and sea front. £100 a night for all this -= bargain !!!!

Firstly let`s get the sarcasim out the way .I full know that seagulls live by the sea ,I do have an Observers` Book of Birds that I`ve had since a child ! The point I made was that we had to open the windows up wide to aleviate the dusty smell that was choking my wife .Hence the noise of them were amplified !
I`m glad to hear you`ve cleaned up the room but as I`ve a long way to come back to check it out again I`ll need to take your word for it .I somehow think you`d have a task as I did feel that your hotel had a musty smell about it and another room I was shown had the same smell.Getting rid of that artificial monstrosety of a plant would go along way to helping as it was covered in dust .That in itself does not say much for your cleaning staff .
To sum up your hotel is by no means the worst but at same time not very good either .
