The Inn is located a couple of miles from Durham so handy to visit the city & countryside.
However, our first impression was the dirty stair carpet up to the rooms, which although basically clean was in desperate need of decorating & so tiny we hardly had floorspace for our bags. The ensuite was a shade of green fashionable in 1950/60, pre-avocado by years. Again there was no space to turn around, only a hand held shower & the tile grout & bath seal were black with mildew - unusable for us.
The one plus for our one night stay was the restaurant which was more recently decorated, the menu varied & food good. I would therefore recommend visiting the restaurant but not to stay - had we not pre-paid we would have walked away on first sight.
