My fiancé and I decided to stay in Bowness to see in the New Year. Put simply I am glad we chose Number 80 Bed then breakfast. We chose it at random. I refuse to rely on sites like this to inform my choice on where to stay as every experience and circumstance is different. I have had a quick read through after we arrived home and I'd agree with the majority of the positive reviews. Some people are just too unrealistic and picky. It is exactly what it says in the name. Colin and Mandy were perfect hosts who you could talk to and made sure you were happy. Communal fridge and DVD selections are a great idea. Breakfast was spot on! Lots of options; full English is exactly what I needed every morning before mountain walks and especially after new years celebrations. Can't think of any negatives! Cheers for a great three days

Me and my partner (early 20's)have just returned from No 80 and have nothing but good things to say! We had a warm welcome from Colin who showed us where to park which is 1 minute up the street and is totally safe. The room (no 3)was lovely, we were able to adjust the heat in the room and make it all snug,the breakfasts were brilliant. We were given a tick list menu for the breakfast which was a really good idea as your not left with food on your plate that you don't like.Colin and Mandy told us where the best places for the NYE celebrations and fireworks which was spot on. It is 2mins walk from the front street where all the shops and restaurants area. Next time we stay at the lakes we will most definatly stay here again!

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at Number 80. As a 'not easily impressed' couple who expect attention to detail and are always looking for something special' we would highly recommend it It is an excellent B & B, spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. Mandy and Colin have got it spot on, very professional but balanced with very efficient and caring customer service. Room was well serviced with contemporary decor; we even had the use of a fridge. Breakfast was better than many 4/5 star hotels that we have stayed in, excellent choice and the cooked option was totally grease free - compliments to Mandy. The service was fast, unrushed and unobtrusive - congrats to Colin. Excellent location, very quiet but with very good restaurants within 3/4 mins walk. We had a delicious meal at Beresfords (1st class) and a very good Italian at Rastellis - both fully recommended by us who are only impressed with a well above average meal!

Wow, stayed in the 4 poster bed room at the front of the B & B for 2 nights on 9th and 10th December 2011 . Fantastic room and facilites. Extremley clean and comfortable. Great dvd library for guests who want to stay up and watch them in their rooms. Breakfast, is as good as any I have ever, had, with plenty of choice from fruit juice and cereals to full english and anything in between. Customer Service is second to none. Well done owners Mandy and Colin - we will be recomending your B & B to all our friends and we will most definately be back Thank you for a wonderful break.
