We were promised a 'quiet room' suitable for a Valentine's weekend trip. What we got was a very small double room, and though the bathroom facilities were lovely, the bedroom itself only just had enough room for our bags.
We were also not in a remotely quiet room - we were directly above the bass speaker of the club downstairs, and could feel it through the floor. I asked if there was another room available, and when there was not I explained that it wasn't what was offered, and I was well within my consumer rights not to pay for the room, and to check out. It took three trips by Michael (a wonderfully helpful member of staff) to see the manager, who didn't come out to see me at all, before they finally agreed I had a point.
The staff are very friendly, but if you're expecting to be able to relax, forget it. The noise is awful. The room was extremely expensive for what we got.
