Having been booked in by some friends and having no previous knowledge of The Mount, we were greeted with tea in the lounge, and a very warm and friendly welcome from Heather
The Mount is very easy to find, well signposted from the main roads, and with car parking available, is ideal for exploring Bideford and the surrounding area. The premises are spotless, the rooms are light, airy, spacious and fully equipped. The bed was extremely comfortable ensuring a very good nights sleep and the linen of a high quality. WiFi is also available. A lovely full cooked breakfast was preceded by a selection of juices, cereals and fruit, all served promptly and nothing was too much trouble.
Andrew and Heather operate a very high class, friendly establishment, and it is definitely worth a visit whether for one night or longer.
An extremely enjoyable stay.

We have stayed in many B&B's an can only say that our stay at The mount was OK....our room, although very large was smelly!! And the corridor leading to room 6 was also a bit smelly!
The decor was OK and the service at breakfast was OK. Margarine on the table at breakfast and cheap orange juice was a bit disappointing and the staff seemed to have memory problems when taking our breakfast order!!!
As I say overall it was just OK, unfortunately Bideford was awful!!!

We stayed at the Mount during July 2011 for a three night break.
The Mount is a lovely charming house owned by delightful people, whom made us feel totally welcome and relaxed.
Our bedroom was very well equipped with high quality bedding and fixtures and a single bed for our five year old son, providing perfect family accomodation.
Fantastic breakfast choice, freshly prepared and a lovely lounge to enjoy whilst overlooking an established garden with outside seating area.
Car parking at the hotel is limited but on street parking is always available.
We will be staying at the mount again.

Stayed there for two nights so that I could visit Lundy on the day between.
A great welcome, a good clean room with tea making facilities. Breakfast starts at 8am but when I told my host I would have to be away at 7.15am it was brought forward to 6.45am and I got the full breakfast. Also a good selection of fruit juices, cereals, and fresh fruit.
Off road parking, Town centre and quay just a walk away but it is in a quiet location..
