“£75 for B&B in ordinary room serious damp problem - pub meals expensive but very ordinary”

A lovely village location. Average quality rooms( we saw three rooms) with good fresh bedding and good tea/coffee/chocolate/biscuits tray. Electric kettle had to be put on floor to reach plug (dangerous). Very serious damp problem on 6-8ft of ceiling/wall (not healthy) Very dated carpeted bathroom with chipped bath, no air extraction, no hanging hooks and the toilet cistern was noisy. Service was good from willing and helpful staff, Evening meal was expensive and promised more than it delivered. Breakfast had everything but was a little clinical and tasteless. £75 for a double B&B should have provided much more. Could not recommend at this price/location.

We had a 1 night stay at the Bullers Arms to break up our long journey down to the end of Cornwall. It was booked the evening before on lastminute.com, however Im so pleased we did!
Bullers Arms is set in a small village, about 5mins drive from Bude - lovely setting. Room was fantastic - much larger than expected & with a lovely 4 poster bed!
We ate at Bullers Arms in the evening and the food was fantastic! Its obviously a very popular place to eat and definately worth booking if you want a meal as tables were all full very early on. There was a great atmosphere in the pub all evening; it seems a very popular place with locals
Breakfast the next morning was just as enjoyable - very hearty portions. I'd definately recommend a stay here, and hope to be able to visit again soon.
