Set in a wonderful position overlooking Bude, and offering breakfast (great choice!) and comfort as good as any, this is one we really would like to go back to. Run with efficiency, friendliness and professionalism by 5 members of the same extended family who take every step to ensure that clients enjoy their stay and in a very relaxed and informal way. An added bonus was the mere 5 minute walk to an excellent meal at "Life's a Beach".

A great hotel, friendly and attentive staff nothing is to much trouble.The room was clean and comfortable with a wonderful view and the breakfasts were excellent with a good choice. A great location for visiting North Cornwall and Devon. Would recommend it to anyone. Thanks.

Stayed at the edgcumbe hotel for two nights in a room overlooking Summerleaze Beach. The room was beautifully decorated and accessorised in the fashion of a beach house. The family members running the hotel were exceptionally friendly with loads of good advice as to where to eat in the evenings and good places to visit in the area. The breakfasts were delicious with lots of choice. Stay here again? You bet!.

The Edgcumbe is a great place. The whole hotel is beautifully decorated, the breakfast was excellent and the hosts were very friendly. There seemed to be lots of people staying who had stayed before which is always a good sign.

The only thing they need to sort out are the doors! Getting in to the hotel at night is not easy as the lock is really difficult and the hotel is in a very windy spot so doors slam quite a bit. The door to our room rattled all night in the wind ( we had to open the window a little as the room was warm). We came so close to asking to be moved but in the end made a make-shift door stop.

Despite this we would still strongly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Bude.
