My teenage son and I stayed here in a twin room for a short holiday. The room was spacious, with a sink and ensuite toilet. The proprietors, Sean and Janine, were always very helpful and friendly, helping everyone to feel at home,they even had several members of their extended family holidaying with them, which added to the family atmosphere the hostel has. The facilities were great, with a well equipped kitchen, huge sitting room with a big tv and large selection of DVDs to watch. Overall, a very relaxed and comfortable place to stay. If I could make one improvement, it would be to upgrade the mattresses.

Myself, my girlfriend and a couple of friends stayed here for a long weekend, each couple staying in a private double room. The place is lovely, with extremely friendly owners, who were very helpful when we realised we'd left a bag at an unknown motorway service stop! Good services, clean rooms, with lots of space to hang out and meet other people, and not far from the town. Looking forward to staying again!

Having stayed here a couple of times I really think Northshore is a very special place to relax. Sean & Janine are excellent hosts, running a clean, comfortable, friendly and safe environment. They're always on hand (or not too far away) to help and really make you feel part of the place.
It's in a quiet residential street about 5 mins from Bude Strand. It has an big, clean and well equipped kitchen, a big dining room, comfortable living room and outside areas to relax and smoke if you want. Rooms are clean and simple and generally en suite - there are ample washing facilities anyway.
Lots of families and walkers tend to use this hostel so it's not a 24hour party house and that's good.
Totally recommended.

It's in a lovely old house in which the rooms are large, kitchen, dining and lounge are great. You don't feel cramped in this place. It was impeccably clean and comfy. Was able to park the car and town was just a short walk. Have a feeling that it would be a great place to stay in during summer as Bude is just out of the way for the typical Cornwall tourist route.
