All in all this is an average place to stay.
The cottage was quite dated with uncomfy furniture (the lounge in particular is hard to relax in) and old fixtures and fittings in bedrooms - rather like your grannies bedroom.
There is no central heating so it feels quite damp and can get chilly at night time. Hot water bottles are a must and are provided!
The kitchen is very well equipped and it was nice to have a washing machine which was much needed after trudging around devon and the farm itself.
The owners are lovely and very helpful.
The cottages are literally right on the farm site, and whilst it isnt a working farm, there are animals roaming around and it is really quite muddy and slippery. The access to the cottages at the top of the site is quite muddy and the parking is quite awkward as its on a steep setting.
The area is beautiful and we saw loads of wildlife, but the farm is quite a way from anywhere, so if you want easy non driving access to pubs and shops dont stay here. If you are happy ot literally be well away from it all and dont mind chilly nights then this place is ok!
The local town of Newton Abbott is a total dive and i was sad to see how down trodden and lack lustre it is... other towns like torquay and paignton are a fair drive away and to be honest again lack the lustre of yesteryear... shame.
