I was recommended to try staying here by a friend as I have to visit the area regularly for work and was very pleasantly surprised, as the local hotels can be pretty basic, very cramped and the service is a bit hit and miss. They also tend to be on main throughfares and noisy! after all that travelling I just want some peace and a good nights sleep!
The exterior of Court Farm Barns is a very attractive converted barn, there are two seperate suites, with their own front door.
As you walk in you are greeted by fabulous wooden flooring that fits really well with the colour scheme and 'tone'. The decor is a bit of a mix of plain colours with big splashes of colour in the artwork.
You have a separate sitting area with everything necessary to relax, ie: kettle, fridge, toaster, sofa, dining table, TV and Internet.
In the corner of the main room there is an amazing spiral staircase that takes you upstairs to your bedroom, with a comfortable kind sized bed, chunky wooden furniture and a well proportioned bathroom with a fabulous power shower.
There is plenty of room to put your bits and bobs (A bug bear of mine for hotels) and a nice sense of calm, the views look out onto fields with horses and it is really quiet, so you are surrounded by modern convenience, in a homely modern setting. It's really very well done.
I hear that the village pub comes highly reccomended so intend to sample their fare on my next trip, I will definetly be stayng there again.
