Stayed over the New year. A party of eight with two dogs. We were looked after very well and the food and meals were very good wale and fun. Ample wine included and we enjoyed the complimentary tea and cakes on both afternoons. Yes , the rooms are a bit dated but the location makes up for this. Possibly thought that more staff were needed to cope with the many guests but this was a long New Year break this year and the staff available were working very hard. Our thanks to the manager who was very attentive and aware of guests needs, including our dog! A big thank you to all for giving us a good start to 2012, even if we didn't entirely approve of a couple of staff in jeans joining in the disco at the black tie event for guests! We will be back.

We had a very lovely Christmas party in this lovely hotel. The venue is great, food is very delicious and hospitality is great.

We booked a private Christmas party . All the staff we had were really good very helpful and friendy. A wonderful Christmas Party. The food was delicious,for a large group this was really nice. Rooms great and staff really helpful. Nice place good location

Had long stay at 'The Shilly bridge' as locally known, and felt like one of the family. Staff and service are best in the industry.To be fair the hotel is a little worn here and there but don't let that put you off. Food is very good and plenty of it.
Staff are friendly and helpful. Plus great setting overlooking river.
