I stayed at Prospect House for one night (30/7/11) as I was visiting friends in Banbury. It was my first stay at this lovely guest house and it was a very pleasant experience. I visit this particular group of friends every few months and have stayed in quite a few B&Bs and hotels in Banbury before.....I will now always try Prospect House as my first choice of accommodation!
I was welcomed by the very friendly lady who owns Prospect House, she showed me to a lovely, clean and very comfortable double bedroom that had a spotlessly clean en-suite shower and loo (hand basin was in bedroom itself, but was equally clean). There was complimentary bottled water, tea and coffee making facilities (& biscuits) and also a large selection of bathroom bits and bobs such as soap, shower gel, shower cap, tissues etc etc....everything I could have needed basically. A note on door said that iron and hair dryer were available if needed.
Breakfast was delicious and there was a very large and varied selection to choose from, including cereals, fruit, cheeses, juices, and a long list of cooked choices. I had the full English and the quality was very good indeed.
The position of Prospect House was perfect for my stay, it took me only 5 minutes or so to walk down the hill to the town centre to meet my friends and a shared taxi ride back at the end of the night was only a couple of pounds as it was not very far from the town.
There is nothing negative I can say about this guest house, and I look forward very much to staying there again in a few months, I am very pleased to have found such a nice (and very reasonably priced!) place to stay on my regular visits to Banbury!
