Located in best part of city for Restaurants,Cafes and Bars, the hotel provides a fantastic base from where to relax and watch the world go bye. Staff incredibly helpful and friendly especially when I got caught up in Greek Air Traffic Control disputes; they rang airports and railway station to try to find out what was happening and to see if I had any alternative routes back.
Limited facilities in hotel but that is reflected in the price. Breakfast is continental but almost unlimited amounts of food and drink. Very safe to walk arround and I had a very relaxing time.

Very well located, in the centre and near the lively zone of the Port (full of bars and people), the Hotel has a nice old-fashioned style, although with small rooms. The personnel is very kind and helpful, so it was a good experience.

We have spend our last nite in this hotel on our way back home after a ten day trip on mainland greece. After all nice places we have stayed we have disappointed with this one. At checkin the receptionist asked for pre payment ( which was never done before) and although I have made the payment kept my passaport until check out. I guess she did not find us trust worthy enough. Although the room we stayed in (triple) was not spacious it was furnished smartly. The bathroom is very small with a very dirty looking old shower basin ( you do not want to take shower) covered with a shower curtain which does not stop water flooding the claustrophobic space . The breakfast was satisfactory but lounge is part of lobby and the entrance far away from warmth.

You get what you pay for with the Luxemburg. If you are just looking for a clean room to sleep then this hotel is great value. Staff are friendly, breakfast is adequate and the location cannot be beat. Be aware though that in this part of the city it can be noisy at night, so you will need to sleep with the window closed. We travel to Thessaloniki quite often for shopping and the location of this hotel is great - right in the centre of the city. For anyone coming by car there is paid parking in a private lot behind the hotel - 20 Euro for 24 hours. This is cheaper than the open parking lot in the direction of the port. (if you've been to Thessaloniki before by car you will probably understand these directions). The hotel does provide free wifi - it's not the fastest, but sufficient for checking emails.
