Just some of the reasons why we had a terrible stay:
- there were construction works starting at 7AM: it was so loud that we just left the room...
- the view was horrible: looking out of the window, you could see a huge grey building under contruction, not finished yet. It was probably 5-6 metres from our window.
- The bathroom is very small, especially the shower, made for people under 1,60m. We wanted to have a romantic bath (as it was promised in the room description, having a whirlpool) but there was no chance that we could fit in there.
- It was nice to have a coffee machine in the room, too bad it didn´t work!!
- The breakfast buffet was such a bad quality that the second and third day we decided to go somewhere else in the city and have a nice greek joghurt, which was not provided in the breakfast. Also the coffee was horrible!
- Internet was quite expensive.
- The TV resolution was very bad and also didn´t have many international channels.

Honestly, we could have stayed in a small B&B out of Thessaloniki, close to the sea, spend less money and have a different experience.

We booked this hotel because it was recommended in a tourist guide and also because their homepage is very nice. However, the marketing for the hotel is way better than the hotel itself.

We had a room in the back of the hotel facing a rotten building across the road. The room itself was nothing like the homepage, it was small and dark. The bathroom was the worst; it looked as it had been renovated a few years ago but very, very cheaply. The first bath flooded the room, the tv was tiny and the double bed had 2 mattresses.

The next day we complained about the room and got a suite instead. That one was a little bit better but also there you could see the cheap renovation.

Breakfast buffet was very mediocre; the orange juice is orange lemonade and at the end of breakfast time (10:30am) the staff is taking the buffet away without warning while you are still eating.

The only good thing about the hotel is its location, it's in the heart of the city. The noise didn't bother us too much since we were also going out and we had already considered that before booking.

My wife and I visited the hotel from 03 till 05 April 2009. They gave us a room that was facing the back of the Hotel, just above a disco club. It was terrible :( the first night the base from the club was shaking the walls of our room till 4 o'clock in the morning. Next night it was even worse, they closed the club in 7 o'clock. It was so unplasant, I will never use this hotel again and if you want to spend your holiday there- choose another Hotel in Thessaloniki.
