Excellent stay on the tree night in changing years. Galaxy hotel was our choice as we decided to go in Kavala for this special family event. And we got really satisfy about our choice. Location of the hotel it's in a excellent place, right to the harbor on the main road of center Kavala. Just as we arrived everything was well decorated for the New Year Eve and brought to us a pleasant atmosphere. Roof garden is a very nice place with a marvelous view from above; eyes reach the full harbor. We enjoyed in cold weather, raining and full sunny day. Colors and great pleasure!!
Stuff was trying doing the best and working hard, but many things hasn't been in their hands. Looks they are trying to keep as a best hotel destination in town and they need to continue working for it, as in my opinion the 4-th star looks shaking a little. First entrance is wide, but no lobby there, no any bar and other facilities. Everything is up to the second floor. No swimming pool, but a nice steam bath and gymnastic hall.
Room was very clean and we observe that everywhere Galaxy is a very clean hotel. View from the balcony remarkable. We experience luck of warm water at the second day, but probably caused from overbooking at that night. Bathroom are spacious, but hotel doesn't use their sets of soaps, shampoo and so on. Just liquid soap on the corner!! Heat was so well and we enjoyed great warm nights.
The "Gala" of the New Year Eve splits in 2 extreme opinions; an excellent food, very deletions, in perfect portion,delicious, cooked in a way you can remember it long time. on the other hand music and the festivity got lower as they try enjoy the groups coming from Bulgaria and Macedonia (fyrom). Sure we like it a lot, enjoyed and took part of the festivity, but the balance with the contemporaneity music was total our of the order.
Breakfast was good plenty and opportunities of choices has been many, but may be for no reasons was not much tasty. The corner with the tradition Greek -Turkey cafe was so cute. We will recommend for special event this hotel to everyone.
