My husband and I stayed at the North Assos Studios while we were on our honeymoon. The studios were clean, comfortable, and stylish. Our hosts made us feel like we were family and our best evenings were spent at the rooftop restaurant, sharing huge, delicious pieces of galaktoboureko, and enjoying the atmosphere. Assos is one of the most beautiful locations in Greece and we are planning to return on our next trip and stay in the same studio.

We cannot put into words how awesome our week in Assos was...the quietest and prettiest spot on Kefalonia island! North-Assos villas in particular was a real find - the couple who run it are wonderful. Lila and Vageli are warm and friendly and go out of their way for their guests. Their family restaurant has one of the best views in the village and the food did not disappoint once (and we ate there almost every night!). The villa is beatiful and wonderfully clean, serviced excellently everyday and set-up well for self-catering purposes too! I would HIGHLY recommend this little spot - you'll be lucky to spend a summer holiday there!

So laid back its horizontal. Great apartment,wonderful views and great service. The views from the taverna are something else and the food is great. We have been going to the Islands Twice a year for ten years and this is the best holiday yet. We are re-booking Assos North for next year.

Stayed 2 wonderfull nights at North before meeting up with a sailing boat.

Assos itself is a great little place to spend a few days, nice sheltered pebble/sand beach, tavernas, castle overlooking the bay. Wonderful setting. North is up a hill (3min walk from beach/taverna area up steps) with great views over assos and Keffalonia in the distance.

The room was nicely styled, spotlessly clean with aircon. Small kitchen area we didn't use, a veranda to get some sun in the early morning. I saw previous reviews moaning about cigarette smoke. It smelt fresh as a daisy all the time we were there, however on the last morning a whiff of really strong cigarette smoke came into the room then disappeared. I can only think it is the extractor fan or air con unit. Strange we only smelt the stench for 5 mins of our entire stay. Maybe its haunted.

The roof top bar is very classy, great for a beer. We had only one dinner and comparing it with other meals we had in Greece would rate it as 'OK' The breakfast was great although a little pricy (11 Euro).

Staff were great for the most part, however we arrived at 8am after an overnight flight from London (not fun). I did email ahead and tell them this, they said thhat i would have to wait till 1 for check in. Fair enough. When we arrived feeling awful we promply slept in the upstairs bar on the sofas. However the room was actually empty. We just felt an email the day before saying where to pick up a key to go strait in to the room would have been good. We got in at 11am in the end so no big deal. I never go to the same place twice as there is a big world out there to explore, however i would recommend North to anyone heading to Assos or kefallonia.
