Nothing fancy. The balcony was pretty ratty, but we had a good view of the active little town intersection and the beautiful mountain behind it. Street noise came through the windows, but it wasn't bad. The breakfast was fine. The room was average. Bed was uncomfortable. The front desk staff were nice, though acted kinda strange? The price was right.

During our Greece trip in August 09 we stayed in triple rooms of four different hotels and had very nice experiences in all but one: Byzantio Hotel in Ioannina!
It had the best price online and seemed to be clean and comfortable on the photos. But in reality, the waste bin in the bathroom wasn't even emptied before we checked in the room. There was a newspaper on the bedstand left by the previous customer. And worst of all, the toilet flush wasn't working and the toilet wasn't clean. We had to call the reception two times the first night and once the next morning to have the flush fixed again and again. Neither the receptionists nor the handyman who tried to fix the flush said sorry. Not even once. On the opposite, they acted as if it was our own fault that the flush wasn't working. The next morning we wanted to change the room and did so. In the second room, the flush was OK but at night we realized that the A/C was not functioning.
It was impossible to log in to our e-mail accounts using the PCs in the lobby. So most of the facilities of this hotel were not in working order.
The staff (except a young man at the reception) was rude. They never even smiled once.
In addition to these cons, the hotel is quite far from the city center.
