We just came back from Syros Greece!!
As it was the first time with the children abroad, we opted for a quiet island, Greek friends recommended Syros and especially the picturesque island of Foinikas. Hotel Brazzera was the obvious choice there!
The rooms were super clean, the staff friendly, the breakfast delicious (comprising of organic homemade products), and the location simply beautiful. The beach was a few yards away from the hotel which made it excellent for the children.
We did have a car, however there is an excellent bus service so every afternoon we were on the road exploring the sites of the island.
Additionally, the fact that it is a small family business made me feel very safe especially with two children under six.
To summarize, if you want a nice relaxing family holiday then Brazzera is right for you.
In fact we plan to visit again next year.

I stayed in the Brazzera for a week and it was perfect. The rooms are very clean and the area around is very beautiful. We really enjoyed the breakfast and particularly the excellent home-made conserves. We really recommend this hotel for short or long stay.

we stayed there in late June 2007. everything was impressive: the rooms were great, very clean. the people were unbelievably nice, helpful in assisting us. breakfast was included and was great (all home-made stuff). the town itself, Finikas, is beautiful: nice tavernas, beaches...

Just a great hotel to rest and enjoy Greece at its best.

A very cosy and friendly hotel, even offers its own parking space in a shady area (believe me this is important for the HOOOOT mornings!) where the rooms are very clean and spotless. Bathrooms could be larger but for a double room they are quite nice, with their own window with sea view.
The most spectacular thing is the verandas with the beach view just in front. Do NOT forget to ask for a sea-view room with a veranda.
Syros is marvellous during July and September, rather family-holiday oriented but the food is fantastic and the beaches are all sandy!
