The people in the reception are very rude and they never smile. The furniture are from an ancient time. The closets smells, don't put your clothes inside. Apart form all this if you can get a room infront your view is very nice, that's the only reason to go there.

We stayed in this hotel last July (2002). It was the last island we were visiting after a 2 week holiday around various Greek islands, which we really and truley enjoyed, not only but the hotels were all fantastic too! Little did we know what we were to expect! The location of the Alkistis is great. Though once you enter the hotel it seems as though you've gone 20+ years retro. The reception woman is extreemly unpleasant with no manners what so ever. Rooms: The wardrobes have a horrible smell inside, so forget putting your clothes inside! The bathroom is more than tiny! We had a completely cracked shower, and on complaining, we were told it's either that or nothing. The toilets are small too, infact on sitting down you have to put your feet in the shower. Apart from that the toilet was pretty dirty too. The bed linen was never changed in 5 days. Breakfast includes 2 slices of super rehaeated toasts, with water like butter! horrible! As a matter of fact we only went down for breakfast once!! It's a pity cause it ruined the last bit of a great holiday! Oh well!
