“DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 July 2010

I arrived with my boyfriend to this hotel July 2010 and were going to stay for five nights. When entereing the lobby it was extremely out of date and smelled smoke and just gave a very bad first impression. However, this was nothing compared to the shock when entering the room! First of all, you had to walk about 150 steps to get to the room, second the room was so out of date it was ridicolous. The bathroom is something from the 60's, basically the shower was put over the toilet, the sink and mirror was just old and disgusting. The covers over the beds had stains on them and the paint on the balcony was all falling off. This is a three star hotel, but in reality its a one star (if even that). Staff was quite unfriendly and unhelpful. We managed to change the hotel and thankfully didnt have to spend a single night there. DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL!

“ok hotel for low budget tourism”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 August 2008

I stayed there for a week with my boyfriend. The hotel is situated at Agios Stefanos, 7 minutes with scooter to town, and 15 minutes to Platis Yialos and Paradise. The hotel is old, but it is ok if you are looking for a place to sleep without any luxuries.

We had to go up from the reception to our room (156), about 70 stairs, but it was a good gymnastic!!! Our room and bathroom were old, but there were very clean. The maid was changing sheets everyday! The room has tv, air condition, a small fridge and a hairdryer. We had a wonderful view of sea and new port from our balcony.

The hotel had also a simple continental breakfast. The staff of the hotel were really helpful, and they also help us to rent a bike with a discount.

“Horrible hotel”

Stavros, Nicosia

We have stayed in this terrible hotel in July this year. We had to walk more than 180 steps to go to our room. The hotel personnel were very unhospital and unfriendly. On the side of our room we had an exit door that lead to the road. We have politely asked to open the door so we can enter/exit to our room easily. They replied that no way the door will be opened for security reasons. We asked to see the manager and he did not replied to us. The next day we asked to see him again but the staff told us he was not there at the moment but the message was told. The manager did not contact any of the days of our staying, although we asked to see him again.
Furthermore, the breakfast was horrible we went only once and we didn't want to go ever again.
STAY AWAY from such a hotel!!!!

“Terrible hotel hospitality”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 August 2008

We had to walk (go up) 163 steps to get to our room (number 225) and when we asked the staff to give us the key to the back door (at the top of the mountain, nearer to our room) they were unwilling to help.
That door should have been open in the first place for security purposes as there was no other way out in the case of an immergency or an accident and if someone got injurred noone would have been able to help as the reception is at the bottom of the mountain.
We asked to see the manager to deal with the matter but he never replied.
We were unable to go to our room at noon as the sun was very hot to walk 163 steps!

“Average - propably less than average”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 August 2007

We stayed at the hotel in July. The location is very nice as you have a beach (Ag. Stefanos) very close, there is a bus station nearby. The rooms are big and more than half of the them have sea view.
The problem of the hotel is that is very badly maintained. Everything is old! Painting in the room, furniture, bathroom, lounge etc.
For our one night stay we did not bother but if you plan to stay longer it is depressing.
On the positive staff was very helpfull.
