“I MUST BE BACK , LOVELY STAY”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2011

We went to Chorat on July 2010 and we had a great time there , the room was very clean & comfortable , the location is good ( not in the center of the town but in a 3 minutes walk you are there) , the breakfast was good , the service was very friendly ( the problem is that they are not local people & some times are not able to give yougood indications) , the drinks at the pool were not so good the mojito we tried was horrible , we tried the spa and was good, the pool was great , just what you need when you get back from the beach.
I would recommend this hotel , it is a great hotel in a wonderful island.

“Amazing!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 August 2010

Stayed at this hotel in July and absolutely loved it!! Not only is the hotel gorgeous, but it is a five minute walk from Chora.
Rooms: The rooms were beautiful and very clean. Our room had its own balcony which overlooked the church in Chora, which, when lit up at night, is so beautiful!!
Grounds/pool: The hotel looks like a typical Grecian village. All the rooms are white washed or stone with blue doors and blue windows. The breakfast buffet was good, and the hotel also has its own restaurant. There is even a small chapel on the grounds. The pool was huge and gorgeous.
Location: Loved the location of this hotel because it was a five minute walk from Chora. Some of the other reviews complain that the hotel is close to a gas station, but this really wasn't an issue at all and I barely noticed it.
Service: I thought the service was great. When we checked in, we were notified that there was going to be a wedding reception on the grounds tomorrow night, and that it might get noisy. Because of this, they gave all their guests a free car rental for the day. The wedding was actually fun to watch because they had a band playing traditional greek music, so not only did we get free entertainment, but also a car!!
Overall, I thought this was an amazing hotel. Folegandros as an island was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to, so definitely travel to Folegandros and stay at the Chora Resort!!

“Ideal location and spectacular hotel with overpriced services and rather unfreindly management”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 July 2010

Absolutely spectacular hotel with excellent architecture, ideally located, just a few steps away from the centre of Chora. The most pleasant environment among local hotels. Full breakfast and some spa services are included in price. Although it´s a five star hotel, poor and sometimes cold served breakfast and confrontational management fail to follow its official ranking. The personnel are rather amateurs. It can get better!

“great place to settle in”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 July 2009

staff were excellent to us. Free dinner first nite would have been overpriced if we paid menu cost, but plenty of excellent taverna in chora five minutes walk away. excellent breakfasts too including grilled tomatoes and all the fruit and yogurt you could want. Wife had a great massage. Driver to and from port a classic and good barmen!

“The management here do not understand the words "Customer Service"”

My husband and I stayed here with our two young children for 4 nights. While it is a beautiful looking hotel, it clearly has problems. The biggest problem are the two receptionists and the owner. On arrival our children could not wait to get into the childrens pool. After about half an hour both of our childrens legs, hands and feet where dyed BLUE. My daughter has very blonde hair and this turned green from the water. One week later and I still cant get the colour out of her hair. The paint had come off the pool and when we informed the management of this they did not believe us. I had to ask the manager to come and visit my children in the room where we tried to scrub off the paint. The most upsetting thing was that the management/owner never even apologised to us or cared for the welfare of our children. My daughter went on that night to get an ear infection and we had to take her to the doctor for anti-biotics. On top of this when we had checked out at 12pm sharp (no mercy there, they just throw u out), the only ferry to the Island was at 5:30 in the evening, so after a lunch and visit to the town we returned to the hotel to pick up the curtesy bus to the port and collect our luggage only to be SHOUTED AT by the very rude woman behind reception that I could not change my two young children in the toilets because they where for guests only!! We paid €220 per night for our stay here. It was a rip off. Its meant to be a 5 star resort but they do not have room service. When my daughter was sick in the room and we could not leave they would not allow us to have dinner in our room. This was a disgrace. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It is a beautiful looking hotel and has nice rooms but the attitude of the management is disgraceful. They should get rid of them and get some professional staff in.
