This is our second stay on the wonderful island of Folegandros and it was also our second stay at Odysseus Hotel. We stayed for 5 nights with a group of friends and it felt wonderful to be back. The courteous housemaids work so hard from early in the morning to late at night and everywhere (from our rooms to the grounds) were spotless. The sunset views from the hotel are breathtaking, and you can even take your own wine to enjoy the vista from either the roomy balconies or the tables provided poolside.

I am not sure why the comments from other reviewers are saying that the staff were unfriendly. As previously mentioned, we found everyone at the Odysseus from the housemaids through to Dimitri and Andreas to be hospitable, courteous and very obliging and I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone.

I don't know how some of these reviews could have possibly been of the same place we stayed at. We loved this hotel and the people who worked here.
I play guitar and played quietly on our balcony until some of the other guests and employees joined in and started making requests, so I don't know where the comments about having to whisper come from.
Andreas and Dmitri, two of the employees, were the friendliest we have met on out trip, including Santorini, Sicily and Paros.
The hotel has some of the most beautiful views in the world. Rooms are clean, maids are friendly
We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wishing a relaxing stay in spectacular surroundings.

Rooms weren’t that good but location was great. You cannot actually enjoy the view cause you had to whisper, since the owners were bothered! So we had to meet outside the other neighbors (couples and families with kids ) in order to have a chat.
They were ‘cold’ people who made us pre-pay for the whole staying (which is illegal) as if they would lose their money! We picked this hotel because it looked luxurious, which was what we were looking for. It was expensive but we didn’t mind since we could afford the price. However, their attitude was impolite and not professional at all; they made us feel like gamins !!!!!!!!!!!
I feel sorry that people like them run a hotel in such a beautiful and peaceful island and treat their guests in this way! Aren’t they aware of the Greek hospitality?
I won’t recommend this hotel to anyone cause they were rude and made us feel awful.

It is such a petty when people who have the opportunity to live and work to a place that could be “heaven” to be so unfriendly….
We had the impression that the only thing they cared about was “money” …
