We arrived on October 9th. Room was scruffy, The curtains dirty and the furniture could have done with a clean. The bottom of the shower curtain was covered in mildew and the tiles around the bath were mouldy. Having seen pictures of the restaurant on line what a disappointment. Too many guests and not enough tables or staff. If you missed first session you had to find your own cutlery and glasses. The food was awful, little choice and often inedible. We did not find a manager throughout our stay. Only bright note was the bar staff who were all brilliant.
Tried to change hotels but Thomsons who we were travelling with were hopeless. Only advice 'get out of the hotel as much as you can'. Having paid for all inclusive this was not the best of advice. Never again!

We have had three great holidays with the family at the Orion. The attention by the staff to make our stay comfortable was amazing,and yet the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Our Grandchildren enjoyed themselves so much they imagine bringing their children in the future!!

I stayed at the Orion for 2 weeks from september 2011.

We had a pool facing room on the 4th floor which was very big with a nice size balcony. The beds weren't the best though and quite hard.

The pool area was adequate although the pool itself was freezing cold which stopped us going in as much as we would have liked.

The location is good with lots of shops and restuarants on the door step. The White lady and games centre are worth a mention if you like a good night out or to catch a game of football/rugby.

The beach is only across the road and the sea was surprisingly warm.

The bar staff were friendly and helpful. We found the food ok to begin with but got a bit samey after a while.

Overall, the hotel is a good one and offers good value for an all inclusive deal. But could improve the entertainment options and get better beds!

Left Oct 11th after two good weeks. We found the food good with plenty of choice each day. Bar staff Alex and Maria very good, Michalis on day reception couldnt do enough for us, only had to ask him and he would comply. Dining room staff and maids very good. Marita the manager a joy to talk to. The night porter we found to be very good, certainly enjoyed his greek dancing

We are in our late 60's but still enjoy a dance and a jive, so would have welcomed some dance music, but otherwise we made our own entertainment, talking to other quests and having a good laugh

An ideal place to visit other resorts, walking, of which we did plenty to all the local villages like Adele, Pigi, and Loutra or hopping on the local buses to Rethymon and Panormo and a coach trip to Hania

All in all we had a good holiday, we have stayed around the world in AI and you only get what you pay for. .
