“Great place and beach, Hotel O.K.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 November 2011

Great location, very nice views and a gorgeous (naturist) beach.
The hotel itself is O.K but no more than that. Basic furniture and equipment in the room. No WiFi in the rooms, just in the lobby. Relaxed nice atmosphere. The food was excellent (again, contrary to another view here). Greek traditional exquisite cuisine. At the time of our stay, July 2011, there were many young families, we did not feel it a "retirement home". The staff was very friendly and helpful. It's a bit difficult to find, and we arrived very late at night, but we had a very friendly welcoming from the night staff.
Bottom line, we had a lovely 5 day vacation, but it somewhat overpriced for what you get (probably because it's the only naturist resort in Greece).

Room Tip: Prefer a bungalow over a room in the main building (more expensive but well worth it), and, of cours...

we travelled in august , we stayed in a Bangalow just for one night, 95 per day half board ,its expensive and the reason is that is the only nudist resort in Greece . its allowed to be nude only at the beach and at the pool . The pool is good. The food its normal. The beach is perfect!

“Good return visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 October 2011

This was our second trip and we thought the food had improved a lot since our last visit four years ago. The evening buffet meal was excellent and we always found a choice of main course we liked. The salads were particularly good some of which was grown in the hotel gardens. Local wine was in-expensive and very good. Breakfast offered a wide range of cooked and continental, spoilt for choice in fact. The poolside bar produced a wide range of food at lunchtime including excellent grilled meat and salads. The bar at the beach had a limited choice and rather lacked atmosphere but was ok for a lunchtime snack, pizza and salad was best.

We had an excellent sized and very comfortable bungalow. If there was any criticism it would be that we would have preferred a walk in type shower rather than one over the bath but more often than not, that is what you get in holiday accommodation.

The staff are friendly and very good, many of them have worked there for years. Irena I think needs special mention , she organized boat trips, hikes, day time activities and put 100 % into all this. She also organized evening entertainment although the latter was not always the best, just depends if you want to go on holiday for evening entertainment and we don't .

We meet a wide range of age groups from many countries and the whole resort had a very friendly atmosphere, which made for a great two week holiday. The 25m pool is excellent.

The beach is part rock part stones and part shingle so you really need a beach lounger these can be hired by the day or week from the beach bar. Last time we stayed we were able to put the charges for the beach loungers and beach bar bills on our room but this year we had to pay cash.

We will certainly be returning.

“Lovely hotel ... Shocking food.... In a retirement institution”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 October 2011

It's a bit of a trek to get to this hotel ... And a lovely well appointed hotel it is too... With friendly staff and pleasant surroundings. The breakfast was ok (by greek standards... At least they had a toaster) ...the evening meal was a rather poor and bizarre combination of aweful food in a buffet self service style which was a bit of a let down and added to the institutional feel of the hotel ....especially as it's in the middle of nowhere so unless your driving, you have no other choice really. The erm ... Evening entertainment was rather amusing ... But only because it was soo bad! ... It kinda had the atmosphere of a retirement home ... I would not have been at all surprised if the had started the evenings entertainment with a game of bingo ... Although that might have Been preferable to the 70's cheesy pop music the continually played... Or worse , sang badly! The beach is also about a kilometre away ... So you have to use the bus provided or your car.. It is a rocky beach. Having said this ... I did enjoy my stay .... The rooms are very comfortable with good beds and showers, but a kettle would have been useful and whilst I found it relaxing for the 2 days we stayed ... And the retirement home atmosphere and entertainment was amusing ... I would have been gutted if I had booked a whole week

“Off the beaten track but worth searching for.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 September 2011

Our second trip. Stayed the same time last year.
Room was great. Got a deluxe bungalow facing ocean. Large room and quite comfortable. Nice balcony overlooking sea.
Nice facilities and we met people again from last year.
Food is great. Good breakfast and excellent dinner. Food is all locally grown and organic.
Irena is the best and constantly organizing events (although evening entertainment was usually late starting).
We rented a car to get there but did not find much use for the car while there. If we return again, we will use their car service next time (we used it last year).
We found the beach disappointing due to being very rocky. So we spent our time at the pool. Pool is large and never was crowded.
