Stayed in the suite on the main floor with the stone arch dividing the sleeping area from the kitchenette and bathroom. Very quaint. When we arrived it was last but the candles were already lit and a nice tasty bottle of white wine awaited us! They also left us some Rakki but it tasted like moonshine. Cleanliness: Well.....it looked best in the candlelight! The doilies were dirty, the coffee filter had mold in it. But we washed the coffee maker out and put the doillies away and all was good! The bathroom has a weak shower and its VERY small but gets the job done...just try not to look at the wires hanging out behind the vent very close to your head while you shower! If you have ever been to Greece you might already know that the building standards are different than in North America so fret not! Overall, the place was charming, the staff very helpful, and the location was PERFECT! THe only noise we encountered was an old man singing at the top of his lungs from his apartment near by and his wife yelling at him and the odd scooter. The mattress was thin but comfy and with the lace curtains all around it was quite romantic. Ok, I hadnt seen my husband for 4 months (he was in Afghanistan) so a cardboard box would have seemed romantic I suppose, but I did do my research before I left and did not feel disappointed at all. Finally, we did stay in one of the smaller rooms for our last night after returning from Santorini and before heading back to London to meet family. BEWARE. This room was at the top of a tall crooked building with stairs that seemed about to collapse and a shower that was no better than a sprinkler. The room was small, crowded and looked like a fire trap. It was only 40 € so what could one expect really. We were so tired we didnt mind but would never stay there for more than one night. I recommend the suites though for sure.
