There are many hotels and appts like Batis along the Rethymno coastal road, everyone is promising a bargain, next to the Batis is a great hotel with same rates which is always full, but Batis is always empty unless the tour operator has send clients. Dirty pool, Internet which is not working in the room but charged daily by the hotel and a daily lie that the Internet will be fixed tomorrow. The rooms are clean and have seem to be of good quality .. some with side sea view and a few with balconies to the sea and the coastal road -with all the noise- The owner manager one day will tell you a rate and when you go to pay a few days later will give you another rate and insist that he never offered you a lower rate , he will not discount the room even thou he promised that the interner is working in all rooms , he will just tell you .. tough luck , and he will send you away and tell you not to return.. what a shame to a nice appartment building , very unprofessinal behavior .. same behavior has the front desk lady who has no idea about tourism ( she is an immigrant) , one good thing .. music in the elevator,,, so if you like music in the elevaror .. this is the place for you. Seriously ..don't bother .. many like it and even better hotels along the coast.
