The hotel is in a lovely, quiet neighborhood which gave me very good quality sleep due to the calm surroundings; a good breakfast buffet that was included in the price; within 2 minutes of the Akropoli metro stop, which was convenient to get around using my 7-day unlimited metro ticket; and there is actually quite a bit to eat and drink, both away from the Acropolis, but also toward it, i.e. the Plaka, on whose southern edge the Parthenon is.
The service staff was friendly, English-competent and helped with my requests such as reservations at a nearby restaurant and other things.
The room was clean, functional and even had a bathtub and a balcony. The first room given me had a problem when the water overflowed in the bathroom after i pulled the plug on the bath after getting done - they immediately changed me to another and even left a fruit platter and a bottle of wine for me, presumably for the inconvenience.
Free wi-fi was good too, but in the room I had - 407 - the signal was very weak.
The other cons include that this IS far from the touristy parts of Syntagma and Monastiraki where all the historical bits are too. And no matter what they say, this is in my opinion a very good, value-for-money 3-star hotel rather than 4 and definitely not 5.
