“Helpful and convenient”

This is a perfectly nice hotel, and almost rates a very good. The rooms are fine, the same as any Best Western anywhere.

The staff was very helpful, even calling about a pre-booked (so the hotel didn't get any commission) tour that was iffy due to lack of business (and was ultimately cancelled.)

The location is within easy walking distance - under half an hour - of the acropolis, and is closer to the Archaeological museum.

There is no hotel restaurant, other than for breakfast (decent variety, perfectly fine), and the only nearby restaurant not part of another hotel is Alexander the Great, which is a fine restaurant, but for variety you need to walk down to the vicinity of the Acropolis.

“Not a business hotel”

We arrived at this hotel at night in the middle of a thunder storm.

It is not in a very nice area and as two ladies we didn't really want to walk around at night or in the middle of a storm but the hotel doesnt have a restaurant so we weren't able to eat at all. There is also no bar so we couldn't get a drink. There is no where to work so we had to go straight to the airport after our meeting which was unpleasant. There is no wi-fi in the rooms.

Having said that the rooms are large and clean and the staff very helpful. I just wouldn't recommend it for business.

“A Hidden Gem”

I cannot fault the staff at this Hotel, they are simply amazing. We arrived in Athens after a few delays due to air traffic control strikes, which while we were in the air became a full blown strike and no public transport was operating in Athens. We were unable to get from city centre to out hotel, so after ringing the hotel they sent a private taxi to collect us.

The room was clean, and comfortable, with free wi-fi access, a definite plus these days.

The location of the hotel is pretty good, just a short walk from Omonia station, which is a pick up point for the city bus tours, which is also well worth doing. While we agree that Omonia is a more gritty area, we did not at any point of our stay feel unsafe walking back at night.

Overall a good little hotel in a beautiful city

This was a great hotel. It had large, clean rooms and breakfast was a plus. It has a great location and is a good value for the dollar. I will stay here again on my next trip to Athens.

Room Tip: It is within walking distance to the metro with only one transfer to airport. Lots of good restaura...

“VERY GOOD CHOICE”

We have spent 3 nights at the Best Western Pythagorion and would highly recommend it.

The rooms were clean, the breakfast was good and fresh, the reception staff went out of their way to ensure we had an enjoyable stay.

Free wi-fi in the room worked perfectly.

The hotel is located a few blocks away from Omonia metro station not in the best area but we never felt in danger or in trouble.

Overall, great value of money- we would stay there again.
