This hotel is within walking distance of the pretty medieval centre but it is difficult to find by car as the sign for it runs out in the middle of the old medieval centre with no clue as to whether you take a right or left turn and ,on the way out of the city ,it is almost impossible to see because it is overshadowed by a roundabout and the Hotel Fundador. I suggest directions should include "We are next to the Hotel Fundador" or "near the railway station". The man at reception gave us a courteous and efficient welcome and the bell boy also helped with wifi. The room was a good size and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was comprehensive and good but was marred by stewed coffee. The restaurant food was close to inedible but in the centre of town there are good and reasonable restaurants. It is near the train station which has a reliable service to Porto (journey takes 1 hour 20 minutes).
