I chose this property as it was a Radisson Blu, a brand I had used before and therefore trusted in a new place to be consistent. I was not disappointed.
The property is about 60 kilometers outside Zurich, and accessible by a train direct from the Zurich Flughaven. The train ride was about an hour and 10 minutes, and deposited me at a station maybe 10 minutes ride from the hotel. A taxi was available, and in no time I was at the front desk of the hotel.
The property shares it's first floor with a casino. The check in was efficient and I was shortly in my room.
The Business Room was nicely spaced, and had clean lines in it's organization and placement. Window sizes were large, and an automated levellor system was used with in-window blinds. The floor was part carpet, part wood, which I found comfortable.
Lighting was very good for the room. The bed was low, but very comfortable.
The bathroom was European small sized, but the stand up shower was surprisingly large for the room. All fixtures were clean, new and functioned well.
The first floor restaurant had a nice Breakfast Buffet, which was crowded at times, but service was overall excellent for coffee refills.
The town of St Gallen was within easy walking distance from the Hotel, and many restaurants and shoppes were nearby. The hotel itself is next to a brewery called Shutzengarten, which offered many fine beers in it's retail store.
The hotel features a spa and workout area, but as the workout area was very small, I chose instead to jog up the mountain in back of the hotel. In the cool morning air and steep elevations at times, it offered the optimal workout to start the day.
I experienced no problems during my stay, and my check out was as simple as my check in.
I would highly recommend the hotel as THE place to stay in St Gallen, and would easily return there in the future without hesitation
