I liked most about the hotel the business class room (Nr. 718). Not very big, but with an nice, modern interior and a good sized bathroom/shower. Business class rooms are more spacious and on a higher floor with nice city view.
The hotel is very close to the olma location but not in the centre of the city. To the old town, it takes about 15 minutes walking. To the University of St. Gallen, it takes about 20 minutes walking.
For breakfast, there is a good selection with muesli, bread, cheese and hot dishes, you can order eggs (no extra charge). The restaurant again is modern and nice to look at. For dinner, I ordered room service. The food from the restaurant is excellent. Service in general is good and the staff friendly and helpful. The only big disappointment was the gym/spa. The gym has about 3 machines in a corner and the steam room was very small and not in use (you have to ask at the reception to heat it about an hour before use). Don't trust the pictures on the website for the spa/gym. I would stay again in this hotel. If spa facilities are important to you, you better stay at hotel Einstein and use the facilities from the nearby fitness center.

The staff is courteous and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The furnishings modern, but cozy. There is high-speed internet in the rooms (via ethernet cable) or in the lobby (wifi). There are vegetarian options on the menu, such as delicous risotto, and ravioli with truffles, along with fresh fish from the lake. The wine is delicious and the service is wonderful. There is also a small gym downstairs with a dry sauna so you can stay in shape during your stay. It is centrally located in St Gallen, a 10 minute walk to the Marktplaz and the Bahnoff.

My partner and I spent three nights at this hotel at short notice in September. Despite a tricky situation as we had not planned to stay in a hotel, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, being very flexible with check in and giving us lots of helpful local information.

The hotel is new and clean, with stunning views from the higher rooms and a 10 minute walk from the centre of St Gallen. The free internet and Nespresso machines are a nice touch too.

Cannot recommend highly enough if you're visiting the area.
