“Fabulous place in Perugia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 October 2011

We stayed in Suite Major for 4 nights. It is a very spacious apartment and has of course the famous shower in an old well, which is very roomy for an Italian shower. Luigi was very helpful every day in suggesting places to go and to eat, and helping us to find the local buses out of town for our day trip to Gubbio. We spent some extra time sightseeing with him, which was just wonderfull and unexpected. Breakfasts were very good. The bed was the most comfortable and firm of our entire 5 weeks in Italy - no morning backache! The apartments are very well situated to everything in Perugia and a short walk to Centro Storico. We would really reccommend staying here.

Room Tip: Suite Major is a large apartment - good to spread out in.

“great hosts, great place, great city”

we loved our stay here. Our hosts were very helpful and welcoming and gave us plenty of information about the surrounding area and some of the great places to see, where to eat etc.

We loved the restaurant Il Paiolo which was very close which they recommended. The churches San Pietro and San Domenica are a must but when you need history of a different kind, catch the bus to the Perugina chocolate factory (the home of Baci) for a tour - five euro well spent and the tour includes heaps of tasting (booking recommended).

We loved Perugia - such a beautiful historic place. And with such a great place to stay as well, our three days here was one of the highlights of our 6 weeks in Italy

Amazing place! Very Clean! Hosts were welcoming and we were made to feel at home!
We can highly recommend this beautiful B&B!
(my only 'very small' recommendaton to them would be to have more pillows or at least one extra...there were two pillows and both were very high and hard)

“Highly recommend”

My husband and I stayed at San Fiorenzo and we loved it. Monica and Luigi are great hosts. We stayed 4 nights and we used it as a base to visit Assisi by bus. We walked everywhere and the views from the top are fantastic. Be warned, Perugia is a historic town and its hilly. There's a minimetro which you can get to by escalator or lift. You can catch the minimetro to get to the train station. But everything you want to see of the historic place is within a few kilometres from the B&B, so best done on foot. You must try Monica's home made jams. The hosts are generous, helpful and kind. The rates are good. The B&B has it's own private entrance and very close to the centre. We often came back for an afternoon rest before heading out again. The wifi is great, it never dropped out. We caught a taxi from the station to the B&B and it wasn't very expensive and didn't have any trouble finding. We forgot to return the key when we left and Luigi was most understanding. Sorry Luigi. Thanks again to you and Monica for making our stay very comfortable. Lyndon and Sherinda, Melbourne, Australia

This is a lovely Bed and Breakfast. Monica and Luigi are helpful hosts. The room was comforatable and tastefully furnished giving a peaceful calm effect. Breakfast included excellant yogurt, cereal and good coffee. The location is central..ideal for exploring Perugia. Rates are very good for a couple and a little expensive for a solo traveller. I loved having my own entrance.
