“Perfecto Wedding!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 November 2011

The Castello is an amazing venue with suberb staff and an excellent chef. We first visited in 2010 and returned for our wedding iin August 2011 and on both occasions the standards and service were superb.

We were married in Perugia Town Hall and had our reception at the Castello.
I must say Francesco was superb and the staff were all fantastic, we could not fault a thing during the week we stayed at the hotel and the wedding day itself, it was an unforgettable experiance. The food, wine and relaxed nature of the staff, to the assistance with the wedding and even down to the ice cream wedding cake! it was all fantastic and for anyone considering a visit I must recommend the venue.

Additionally the Castello is only a few miles from the rustic and authentic town of Perugia, a beautiful place, with its cathedral and town square offering good food and some relaxed shopping opportunities. The Castello is also perfectly positioned to take advantage of the breathtaking views of Perugia and the surrounding area.

We have some beautiful photos and memories from our stay and can not thank Francesco and his staff enough for making our wedding so special.

“Up, up, up!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 November 2011

We love the Castle. We took a trip in October and fell in love with Italy and the castle. We arrived at the castle late at night. It is up at the top of the moutain. We were very tired and the night manager was very helpful. He ordered us a pizza and drinks since the resurant was closed becasue it was so late. Our room was perfect. We had an amazing view of the moutains. We were also very close to the pool. The room is comfortble but the historic look of the castle has still been preserved. It felt like a fairytale. I think it was my fav place we stayed on our entire Europe trip. We had a great breakfast and ate outside with those amazing views. Stay here and you wont be sorry.

Room Tip: Ask for a view of the moutains.

Dear Elizabeth M,
We miss the words to thank you for your wonderful review. It is the best we could expect, to be defined as one of your favourite places.
It is so beautiful that you fell in love with the castle "at first sight", we believe it is something magic for us and for the people visiting us.
We hope you will have the chance to come to Umbria again and stay with us.

“Enchanting Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 October 2011

An enchanting old castle, restored into a hotel, makes the holiday a memorable experience. The breathtaking view of the hills as one eats breakfast in the restaurant relaxes one's mind, body and soul. A hot steam at the turkish bath followed by a dip in the outdoor pool amongst greenery is a great combination. A delightful meal at the Michelin Star restaurant - 'Il Postale' completes one's stay at the hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for the hill facing view rooms

“WOW!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 October 2011

It's a review from my visit from last year, August 2010, (since I am new at Trip-A)

This hotel is in one word...WOW!!!. We loved our room, loved the location, loved the castle, the staff was super friendly, everything was A+.
We didn't have dinner at their restaurants, only breakfast (which was good and at their terrace...with the view....WOW!)

There are not a lot of hotels that you come across on your holiday on which you can have no comment....This is one of them.

Although they are not the cheapest ( start at Eur 120,-) I can definetly recommend this to everybody that visits the area...This is so woth your money and you will have no regrets at all if you book this place!!!
I think reviewing this hotel...one year after my visit says it all....SO WORTH IT!

“Top of the class”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 October 2011

There are few hotels we actually photograph and blog about to our friends and this is one of them. The staff (especially Luca) were very helpful and informative, the location was convenient for visiting Perugia, the castle grounds well maintained and the castle itself had been renovated to exacting standards with quality and attention to detail evident everywhere. We ate dinner at both in-house restaurants and were fortunate to be given the 'table in the kitchen' for our second evening - try to book that!
