Brought our group here for UmbriaJazz, and I'm glad we did. It is a family-owned hotel, and they treated us wonderfully and with that personal touch chains just aren't setup to provide. It is located a little far from the festival in downtown Perugia, but a short cab ride or bus ride is easy to access. The bus stop is directly across from the hotel - ask the bus driver to let you off at the stoplight, then walk across the street to the hotel.
The hotel has perfectly-running air conditioning - a major plus during Italian summers! The dinners were superb, and they accommodated dinner around our band's performance schedule, another plus. The rooms were clean although a little spartan - no carpeting, but the bathrooms were impeccable and everything worked. Breakfast buffet was fine, no issues at all.
There is a laundry salon about 10-15 minutes walk from the hotel. Works very well and has a change machine. Turn left out of the hotel and stay on that road. In a small strip mall with a newspaper kiosk in front. Grocery store a little further down the street from the laundry, large enough for most items.
Overall, an excellent stay and we will definitely bring groups back.
