This small hotel has a certain old-fashioned charm and is in a convenient location. The proprietors are friendly and helpful and breakfast is good. HOWEVER - noise is a major problem in the front rooms. It is near Piazza Morlacchi which contains popular student barst and the high stone walls all around mean that even a few revellers make a noise which echoes loudly. And the hotel's older windows, while adding to the charm of the place, do little to block that noise, unlike the modern double-glazed windows which many other places have. Both nights we had loud noise going on until the early hours of the morning which really spoiled the experience for us.
Internet access was not satisfactory. It was not working for some of the time during our stay and when it did work our time was rationed - two hours over two days was not enough.
Room Tip: Make sure to get a room away from the street, unless you sleep heavily and are not bothered by noise...
