This place was absolutely perfect for us since we had been wanting to get out of the big city and have some down time in a quant and quiet villa in the Tuscany Valley.
It can be a bit tricky to find by car so I advise getting really good directions before heading to the location and come during the daytime. Also this is a location that is not accessible by mass transporation or trains, only by car easily.
When you drive up the driveway, you are instantly transformed from the busy city to a tranquil horse farm with lots of trees, no neighbors to be seen and lots of natural outdoor beauty. After parking in their provided parking lot, we were instantly greeted by the Villa Dog named Charlie and a nice man named Marco. He helped us with our room and told us about breakfast and services they provided. The services include daily room cleaning, great morning breakfast from 8am-10am everyday and also allowed us to use their washing machine while staying there for a load. There is no dryer but they provide everyone with a drying rack outside to hang up wet clothes.
The rooms are very big for what we expected. The bed is a Queen size and also a dresser is included with an armoir of extra pillows and blankets. The bathroom is a big size with a sink, cabinet for your toiletries, shower, toilet and bidet. They also provide alot of towels.
The sign in the office states that they do not provide internet access but my husband asked on our last day where the closest place to find internet for our laptop and they gave us the wireless password. It's worth asking for when you arrive if you have a laptop with you. The internet access did not work from our room but did work well in the garden terrace area overlooking the Tuscany beauty and horses.
The people working here are very polite, friendly and helpful. Because this isn't a touristy big city, their English is not as good as it would be probably in Rome or Venice but they did their best to communicate with us as well as could be. Aside from being a Villa, I believe this is also a horse ranch of some sort. They have a lot of horses living here with many workers on the property taking care of the horses.
There is a swimming pool on property but of course since we were there in the offseason, it was not available.
The only two complaints I have about this place is the room got to be really cold and stayed cool through out the day. We were not able to adjust the heat in our room to a more comfortable temperature. Also, if you don't mind being woken up by the neighing of the horses in the morning, then you should be okay. I actually enjoyed being woken up by horses since it's not something that normally occurs for me and much better then being woken up by slamming doors or honking horns.
We paid about 85 Euros a night here.
Highly recommend this place and if I am ever in the Tuscany area again, I would stay here!
