“Tuscan Gem”

We were two families who stayed at Poggiacolle for 4 nights over December 2011 - January 2012.We stayed in the farmhouse and had 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The farmhouse was absolutely beautiful and spotlessly clean. The farmhouse is a short walk to San Gimignano and has stunning views over the Tuscan Hills. Our host Stefano was an absolute delight and provided many excellent restaurant recommendations. We would definitely recommend staying here, we had a wonderfull four days.

“Tuscan Paradise”

My wife and I stayed @ Agriturismo Poggiacolle from 10/28/11 through 11/4/11. Without doubt this was one of the finest, most romantic, and friendliest places we have ever been. Our room, "The Studio" looked out over a fall vinyard, covered with fall mist and lit by a rising sun. Glorius. Stefano, the proprietor is a treasure, personable, helpful and charming. Go there to see the wonder that is Tuscany, stay there to remember why you fell in love.

Room Tip: Get a room where you can watch the sun rise above the vineyard

“Bells and Beautiful Vistas”

We have just returned from what we consider the trip of a lifetime! We were fortunate to select Agriturismo Poggiacolle as our home base for our many adventures in Tuscany and Chianti. As we wandered out driving the crazy Italian hwys and countryside, we always were warmly welcomed home to Agriturismo Poggiacolle. We stayed in the 1 bedroom Rosa Apt. It has a great kitchen to sit and enjoy a light dinner for 4 and reminesce about the days adventures or to plan a quick drive to San Gigimano for dinner. The views and the bells give a magical splendour to this special farm holiday. To even top that off, you have the BEST host in Stefano B. who speaks English beautifully and will help you plan a days outing. Not to be missed are the yummy cappuchinos in the breakfastroom with Marcella or to catch up on laundry, Marcella will show you how to use the washing machine. There is nothing lik the Fresh line dryed smell of laundry. Go to the Chianti hill country, take an easy train ride into beautiful Florence, wander the cobblestone streets of San Gi and give yourself memories for a lifetime like WE DID!

“A San Gimignano Agriturismo Gem!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 October 2011

Stay here!!! The Poggiacolle farmhouse is absolutely beautiful. This was one of the highlights of our trip in October 2011. When we arrived at the farmhouse we were so amazed by the property’s view of San Gimignano. We stayed at the room next to the office. It is a fully equipped room (kitchen with full size refrigerator and stove). The private bathroom shower is roomy and has an awesome recessed light on the wall. The bed is very comfortable and the room is very quiet and we slept like babies each night. Waking up each morning with views of their vineyards, their olive trees and the absolutely amazing view of San Gimignano was so relaxing. The breakfast is a standard European breakfast (pastries, bread, cold meat, cheese, yogurt, juice, coffee).

The owner, Stefano was a fantastic host. He is so friendly, engaging, and makes you feel so at home the minute you arrive. His personality is one of the main reasons that makes this agriturismo so great. He advised us on where to park in San Gimignano and provided several recommendations to go for dinner and dishes to try. When you leave you feel like you are saying goodbye to a close friend.

San Gimignano is a short walking distance from the farmhouse. One can use the free mountain bikes to ride to San Gimignano though we ended up driving. The infinity pool overlooking San Gimignano is absolutely beautiful. It is dramatically lit at night. It is a great home base to visit hilltowns such as San Gimignano, Voltera, and Sienna. We enjoyed red wine and olive oil and we purchased more to take home with us. We wish we stayed longer than 2 nights. We would definitely stay here again and would HIGHLY recommend the Poggiacolle agriturismo farmhouse to our friends and family .

Room Tip: We stayed at the room next to the office. It was recently refurbished.
