I don't remember how I found Poggio ai Cieli, but my friend and I knew from the moment we saw their website this was the agriturismo we wanted to stay in for 8 nights this October. From our first emails with Stefano, one of the owners, we knew it would be a nice stay. And at 365 euros for 8 nights, it was a complete steal.
Though we had a bit of trouble finding the agriturismo with our GPS, once we arrived, Stefano had left the keys for us and a note to call him. We called him and within a few minutes he was there to greet us. he showed us around the flat and the grounds (there is a recreational room, washing machine, wood oven, and bbq grill, and in the summer there is a pool, a nature walk, and a little playground type area). There's also a little shop where they sell the wine, oil, and other products Stefano grows with his brother-in-law, and they left a bottle each of their red and white wine for us to try (complimentary!).
We had the apartment #1 (carota) and it was wonderful. one nice thing is that they were able to make it up with two separate beds. The flat had a well-equipped kitchen, table and chairs, sofa, clean bathroom, and comfortable bedroom. And stunning views of the Tuscan countryside.
The only real complaint I would have about Poggio ai Cieli is that it is in a pretty remote location. It is near the town of Ulignano and Poggibonsi, Certaldo, and San Gimignano are all close, but if you want to dine closer to the farmhouse there aren't many options. Luckily right down the road, the restaurant Antico Desco is wonderful and gives a small discount to guests of Poggio ai Cieli. We loved it so much we returned three times during our stay. If you plan to dine in the towns you visit (such as anywhere in Chianti, Volterra, etc.), just keep in mind you will have at least a half hour or so drive back to the farmhouse.
Otherwise, this place is lovely and I know we made the right choice. If you are looking for a more rustic experience (the only TV and phone are in the recreation room) that still has most of the comforts from home at a really reasonable price, I don't think Poggio ai Cieli can be beat.
