The Hotel Pescille may be a delightful find in the summertime, but we got there mid-October when things were winding down for the year (they close in November) and the lack of meal service made it a disappointment. Apparently, meals other than in 'summer season' were not offered, except for the mandatory European breakfast. The hotel's location about 5 kms from San Gimignano meant that we would have to leave the site for an evening meal, adding about 30 euros to the cost of supper not to mention the booking of taxis, etc and additional aggrevation. If you go there in the 'off season', you should have a car.
The property outside is beautiful and, in summer, would be a lovely place to relax for a few days. The pool area was quite attractive and everything seemed to have been well maintained.
The included breakfast was quite adequate and reasonably stocked, mostly with cold items which is normal in Europe..

There we had a better experience, a slightly better room and a view to die for!!
We would recommend the Hotel Pescille for its remote site, best for travellers with a car, and only when the weather is quite warm, but check beforehand to see what meal service is offered.
Room Tip: Make sure you get a room with a view of the old walled city. It is a long way from the Hotel, but st...
