We stayed at the Relais at the end of October. Everything was just lovely. The hotel is very well situated, close to the town and in central position between Florence and Siena. The place is very well kept and the staff most welcoming. Our timing was perfect as the hotel wasn’t very full being that it was low season and the autumn colors were just incredible as you can see from our pictures. We recommend you get a room with a view. We will recommend this hotel to all our friends.

We stayed her in September 2011 for one day and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our travel agent in Canada found this place in a pinch when our pre booked hotel turned out to be a dud.
The staff was friendly, the room beautiful and clean, and the view spectacular. The breakfast was great, and the pool very relaxing. We loved the the short walk into town. The best part about staying in town, was not having to worry about parking. By going early into town we had a good look around before the tour buses come for the day. We would go back in a minute and stay longer next time.

The views are magestic! The staff is helpful and caring. We had a great week at Relais Santa Chiara. The pool was very inviting but a bit cool for the end of October - great to sit beside and read or plan your day. The kitchen staff was very accommodating with one of our party who was gluten-free. It was also great to be so close to SanGimignano, but away from the hub-bub. The 10 minute walk allowed us a bit of exercise to work off the wonderful food. It is located centrally in Tuscanny so it made day trips easy - of course, we couldn't have done those without the GPS.

Great location just outside the walls of San Gimignano. Ten minute walk to the town center. Nice grounds with a great view of the Tuscan country side.

One irritant, this was the only hotel during our stay in Italy where you had to pay to use the computer. All other hotels on our trip offered this for free. I was told a ten minute check of my emails would cost 3.50 euros.
