Booked La Cappana di Sovestro on internet. It is a lovely Tuscan refurbished cottage. We occupied the ground floor and enjoyed all the facilities. We bought local produce and cooked our dinners each evening. It was clean and comfortable. Our hosts were particularly friendly and accommodating. Home made cake from mother and fresh tomatoes, olive oil, plums, eggs, etc. from Bruno who we really enjoyed trying to talk to. Our Italian is unfortunately fairly non-existent. We are hoping to return with our daughter and her husband next year. We did walk into San Gimignano but the road is very busy so only did this once. Otherwise just a very short drive by car.

Fantastic B&B we stayed 2 nights but could have easily self catered here for a week, it's like a little apartment. Lovely friendly hosts with the perfect balance of making you feel very welcome, offering advice but also leaving you to enjoy the surroundings. Good breakfast with plenty to eat (including homemade cake) and a leaving present of fruit and oil from the farm.

My family and I stayed here for a night. I wanted something Italian and I got it. Really well priced. Very clean and comfortable and a short lovely walk from the town of San Gimignano.
They gave us fresh fruit that they had picked that morning and his wife gave us some cake that she had baked. We had a really nice time and can't rate this place highly enough. He told us about the history of the area and gave us an insight you wouldn't get in a hotel. He also book us a table at Le VecchieMura ristorante, that has a fantastic view over the valley.

We booked this hotel via the internet at the last minute not knowing anything about it and were so pleasantly surprised. It is a lovely B and B style accommodation with quite a private balcony where they serve breakfast. Our host, Damiano and his mother were such lovely people and made us feel very welcome. It had all the comforts of home and if you are planning to stay for a few days, the room we had was like a mini apartment with a very large and well stocked kitchen! Not very far from the historic town - about 5 minutes by car but you could also walk there in about 10-15 minutes. Wifi was also available. PS. my computer doesn't read this site very well so not sure what the ratings will look like but I would rate it as an excellent choice!
