“Best of what we could find”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 October 2009

We arrived in Pisa without accomdation and felt after searching for what felt like hours that pisa generally didnt want you to stay over! however we did find this place - i agree with outher reviews - its not a hotel but a quirky guest house run by a lively (non-english speaking) old lady who despite the language barrier will try and make your stay comfortable - we staying in room 10 on the top floor - the beds felt as old as the house itself but suprisingly we slept well on them. toilet was outside our room and shower on the floor below. its fun and quirky but it you're used to five star or fancy hotels with soaps and shower caps provided maybe its not for you.

“Little palace - at budget prices!”

Lovely quiet pensione - NOTE! NOT HOTEL!!

Had three nights here in a huge twin room on the first floor of the pensione. All rooms which I saw were furnished in a style suitable for the age and style of the building.

Toilet and shower off corridor are quirky but spotless and functional, very hot water.

Proprietor is friendly and speaks French as well as Italian.

Pensione is very near bars, cafes and restaurants, and perfectly situated for early morning crowdfree rambling.

“Cheap and cheerful B&B”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 October 2008

Reasonably good budget place in Pisa - more like staying in someone's home rather than a hotel. Very inexpensive and reasonably comfortable given the price. I stayed here a few years ago so things may have changed, but I remember the owners being kind and helpful, and the rooms clean. Simple furnishings but perfectly acceptable for a one-star. Lots of students from the nearby university staying here but still very quiet - and next door to a fantastic restaurant.

  • Liked — very inexpensive and great location
  • Disliked — old plumbing - but to be expected in a simple one-star
