An easy walk from the main train station but a bit tricky to find. Definetly need a Google map handy with directions to the place as it's easy to get turned around coming out of the station and there is no large sign for the hotel but rather it's name next to the buzzer for the building. The staff was extremely helpful with insight into busses and local events. Everyone was unbelievably friendly. The rooms were very large with tall ceilings. We stayed on the street side but there was no noise issues. Bathroom was shared but with only one other person. Bathroom was clean, with nice shower and good light. Breakfast was served upstairs in the main area and this was very good. Cornetto, juice, cafe, and yogurt. Simple but got you ready for tackling Florence. There are two grocery markets close by as well as a few restaurants. (One very good East Indian just a block away in case you're a bit tired of all the great Italian food.) WIFI signal was not that strong downstairs in the lower room, but the breakfast area had a nice seating area next to it where we were able to sit and do more trip planning. Would certainly stay here again.

We stayed in the soggiorno cittadella for two nights and wished we had stayed there longer. We didn't pay that much (90 euros for two nights) and didn't expect much. But we had a great stay: clean rooms, nice bathroom (shared only with one other room), excellent breakfast with great coffee and the hostess was really nice. It's a bit far off the centre, but you should really book this hostel if you're okay with the 15 min walk.

Only thing what was good, was location - 15 to 20 minutes walk till city center.

As you walk in in this property, you do not feel as in B&B, but as in somebody's flat (it is one of the appartments in old living house). It was clean, but impression was as it stayed as it was in early 80-ies. It had a smell of old house and the room had a smell of humidity. It was not cousy and definetely not the place where you like to go back after nice day in Florence. We have booked 3 nights, but we moved out after 1st night. it was not good. We mooved to hotel Leonardo da Vinci - just 5 minutes from there. Also nice hostel is located in the same area called - New Ostelo.
